Therapy is for crazy people. I'm not crazy.
So why do I need therapy?

Awesome question!

Ever since therapy became a "thing", lots of people have felt like it's something only "crazy" people need. That probably has to do with the fact that when therapy first started, it was mostly focused on really severe mental health issues. Also, you know how you can't always believe everything you see on Netflix and Hulu and stuff? Well, sometimes in movies and shows, people only go to therapy when they are experiencing really serious stuff like hallucinations or delusions.

But guess what?

In real life, that's just not true.

People talk to therapists just because they need some extra support, because it's nice to have someone outside of your family or friends to share stuff with, and because it's cool to talk to an adult who is not going to judge you or tell you what to do. You don't need to be crazy to want that kind of support! It can be helpful to pretty much everyone!
